| A capsule wardobe, is great to focus on looking smart, preppy and attractive. It is very easy to create a capsule wardrobe for a man. Trendy and smart, a capsule wardrobe gives you enough clothes so you can mix and match and nobody notices, having a capsule wardrobe frees up well needed space. A well planned capsule wardrobe gives you sense of well being you have quality clothes that co-ordinate together creating formal and informal looks.? Two pairs of denim jeans, the dark colour ones look the best, dark blue or black Two pairs of trousers, be it chinos, combats or dress trousers again in neutral colours One Suit with two pairs of trousers, something you can wear the suit separately, in neutral colours (blue, grey or brown) Five collared shirts, a mixture of prints, solid colours, stripe and plaid.? Make sure the shirt can be worn with the suit jacket and trousers Two dress shirts, white is always good as looks great with denim jeans and goes equally well with the suit Two V neck sweaters, to create layers, one nuetral and another in your accent colour One good coat, something that can be worn over the suit in inclement weather as well as with your casual outfit Three good quality t-shirts or polo shirts Two pairs of shoes, one dressy and one casual Gym wear :-? 2 pairs of swimming shorts/trunks, 3 pairs of shorts, 3 t-shirts, 3 socks and 1 pair of gym trainers, 2 sweat tops Underwear:- 14 pairs of socks and boxers (we have more of these to cover vacation periods) Accessories:- 3 belts (1 formal and 2 casual), 4-7 ties (to rotate around in business environment/social occassions), 1 watch (this could go to 2 if you have a dress watch for formal wear), scarves/gloves/sunglasses a maximum of 2 each. Having a capsule wardrobe means that when an item is worn out it simply gets replaced, normally you would replace items ever 6-7 months, maybe sooner if you have a favorite pair of jeans or shirt.? By keeping to the above rules you can ignite variety into your wardrobe and reduce buying masses of cheap low quality items that wear out quickly.? Buy quality and it will last.? Also buy stylish but not necessarily garrishly so, following a trend in fashion is great so long as it's a twist on the classic preppy look. |
